Sew…You Think You Can Dance?

Hello again — my left eye was hurting and irritated for quite some time after surgery but now has improved enough so that I can read the newspaper (with glasses) and sew with ease. What projects are you people all working on? I would love to hear about them. My landscape quilt is finished – well the front is finished. Have not yet decided on the backing and what I am going to use for layering. I usually prefer three layers of cotton rather than a “fill” .  Sales have been great at ebay … in fact it is almost annoying as it is taking up quite a bit of time to locate, cut, and post everything … and I prefer a little bit more relaxation! Terrible thing to admit to. But of course that is not really the whole story … when I have to do quite a bit of “work” (even spaced out it feels like work!) I can’t sew and sit for the remainder of the day as it hurts my back too much.

Have not been back to WordPress to update my blog as I am studying “Word Press for Dummies!” Sales have been fantastic and I am enjoying all the back and forth with my new customers! Have “met” people from Saudi Arabia, the Netherlands, Australia, and Pakistan this week! So exciting. My daughter has just finished compiling all the blocks in her rainbow quilt and it is just stunning! It is a simple design, using astounding colors instead of complex designs. Each block is five inches and it starts in reds, blends to oranges, yellows, greens, and blues. It is her first large quilt and I am so impressed. She is using a simple white backing because we have a bolt of “Designer Bags” fabric that feels wonderful. I am working on a landscape design and frankly lately it has been a bit tedious. My left eye is uncomfortable (have to have a corneal transplant on Monday) so it makes quilting a bit less fun than usual but I am trying to carry on.
